What is being announced on July 23, 2026?
Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE) and Bank of America have agreed to a long-term extension of the naming rights for Bank of America Stadium. The announcement also includes new renderings that provide the most comprehensive look to date at the future of the stadium and its planned fan-focused enhancements.
Has the scope of the renovation changed?
The announcement demonstrates a decision by TSE to increase their private investment, move forward with the full owner-elected scope of enhancements, and continue funding future maintenance and project overages. It reflects a long-term vision of transforming this corridor into a true weekend destination.
Does today's announcement change the City of Charlotte’s financial commitment?
No. The City's commitment remains fixed at $650 million, consistent with the agreement approved by Charlotte City Council. Today's announcement reflects TSE's decision to increase its private investment.
How much is TSE investing?
With the decision to move forward with all owner-elected projects and additional design enhancements, the total project investment now exceeds $1.3 billion. The City of Charlotte's commitment remains fixed at $650 million, with all additional costs and overrun costs funded by TSE.
Is TSE asking the City of Charlotte for additional funding?
No. There is no change to the City of Charlotte's financial commitment. The additional investment announced today is being provided by TSE.
What improvements will fans notice most?
Newly released renderings provide the clearest look yet at the future of Bank of America Stadium. Every inch of the stadium is being reimagined to create a better experience for every fan, with many of the enhancements shaped directly by feedback gathered through surveys, focus groups, and online engagement.
New renderings showcase expanded indoor-outdoor gathering spaces across all levels, a 500-level social patio with sweeping views of Uptown Charlotte, larger and more dynamic scoreboards and displays, upgraded audio, a new seat for every fan and padded club seats, premium offerings, and technology designed to create a more connected and personalized experience.
The renderings also reveal an elevated vision for the stadium exterior, with upgraded materials and a signature illuminated crown for the Queen City skyline. Design details will draw inspiration from the people, places, and landscapes of the Carolinas, creating spaces that feel authentic to the region.
Additional improvements include expanded retail and food-and-beverage options, increased restroom capacity, and flexible event spaces that will support game days while serving community, corporate, and other special events throughout the year.
Imagery released also includes a sneak peek at the 4,400-capacity planned entertainment venue that will host 80-100 events a year and provide enhanced hospitality on NFL gamedays.
When will fans begin to see these changes?
Construction remains on schedule. Interior work is underway in 2026, with fan-facing elements expected to begin in 2027. The work is being carefully phased to allow Panthers and Charlotte FC games to continue to be at the stadium throughout the renovation.
How does this renovation benefit Charlotte residents beyond Panthers and Charlotte FC fans?
Bank of America Stadium is a year-round community asset that hosts professional sports, college football, concerts, community events and civic activities. Beyond events, it serves as a platform for community impact through youth sports, educational initiatives, charitable programs and nonprofit partnerships that support residents across the Carolinas. The full scope of the project is about transforming this corridor into a true weekend destination.
Do these additional enhancements to the stadium change the timeline?
No, we have contemplated these additional pieces throughout the process and built them into the timeline as we’ve progressed through the planning process.
Will these additional pieces impact the NFL or MLS seasons?
We will have construction during those seasons, but we always planned for that. It will be carefully phased and scaled around the seasons.
Deposit FAQs
How do I purchase seats at Bank of America Stadium?
You can secure your spot on the priority list by placing a deposit through Ticketmaster. Priority deposit members will have access to purchase seats when they become available, following current PSL Owners.
Note: You will need to log in using your Ticketmaster credentials. If you do not have a Ticketmaster account, select "New User" to create one.
Is there a cost to join the newly renovated Bank of America Stadium priority list?
Yes. A $100 non-refundable deposit. Your deposit will be applied toward your season tickets upon purchase.
Can anyone join the priority list?
You must be at least 18 years of age to become a priority list member.
I am a current PSL Owner. Do I need to do anything to secure my opportunity?
No additional payment or action is required at this time. As a current PSL Owner, your priority place on the list to purchase seats at the newly renovated Bank of America Stadium is already established. When your opportunity becomes available, your dedicated membership representative will reach out to guide you through the process.
When will I be contacted to purchase seats?
Current PSL Owners will receive first priority to purchase seats. After they have had the opportunity to review their options, sales representatives will begin reaching out to priority list members in deposit order.
Is my deposit refundable?
While the $100 deposit is non-refundable, it provides priority access to season tickets and will be applied toward the cost of your season tickets.
Is there an annual fee to hold my position on the priority list?
No. Once you place your deposit, you will remain a priority list member at no additional cost until you are offered the opportunity to purchase.
Will my deposit be credited toward my season tickets?
Yes. Your deposit will be applied directly toward your season ticket payment.
Will current PSL holders receive a credit?
Yes. Eligible members will receive a credit toward PSL purchases in the renovated stadium based on their current PSL price category. To maintain this credit, members must remain Season Ticket Members through 2029.
How much does a PSL cost at Bank of America Stadium?
PSL pricing will vary depending on seat location and amenities. When it is time for your opportunity to purchase, a dedicated sales representative will reach out to review your options in detail.
When will Bank of America Stadium renovations be complete?
The renovation is scheduled to be complete in 2030.
How will I receive updates about Bank of America Stadium?
You will receive regular updates via email. When it is time for your opportunity to purchase seats, a sales representative will reach out directly.
Can I transfer or change the name on my priority list account?
Your place on the priority list is non-transferable.
